Additional components of the campaign include thirteen supplemental programs that aired on HBO2 the weekend of March 16-18. All programs will be available on HBO on Demand and educational DVD distribution channels. HBO’s companion web site (http://www.hbo.com/addiction/index.html) is live and will stream the segments along with additional information for people who need help with addiction problems. Rodale Publishing has created a companion book for sale at bookstores and through the HBO web site. RWJ has funded community activities that will be carried out around the country by Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, Faces and Voices of Recovery, and Join Together. They will conduct group events around the airing of the programs in some 30 communities across the country. More information about community events can be found on http://www.AddictionAction.org, together with a list of local cable carriers who also will air all or some of films. ---- NIDA is taking advantage of the national attention to addiction to launch its newest publication: Drugs, Brains, and Behavior: The Science of Addiction.
